Serving Leader Coach, Developer & Community Builder
Mike is people-oriented leader, trainer, and developer. He is an innovative team-builder, who serves as Lead Pastor at Calvary Christian Church, a church with three locations throughout Central and Eastern, KY, as well as a community coffee shop and private school. Mike has a passion for developing leaders and teams who serve great purposes in their families, work, and communities.
Mike is the designer of LAUNCH a one year leadership residency that is designed to accelerate leader development to keep pace with the rapid church expansion.
In addition to his work at the church, Mike is an Associate with ThirdRiver Partners, LLC where he has implemented Serving Leader development at Johns Hopkins University and Genesis Healthcare.
He specializes in the following areas:
Serving/Shared Leadership Development. Guiding leaders in their understanding and skills to implement proven Serving Leadership practices personally, with their teams and throughout their organizations.
Creating Coaching Capability in Leaders. Facilitating leader teams to develop advanced coaching skills aimed at improving the performance and succession plan bench strength of their teams.
Mike has his Bachelors of Arts in Applied Communications from Asbury College, as well as his Master of Theology and Doctorate of Ministry in Leadership Development from Dallas Theological Seminary. Mike has served as a adjunct faculty member in the Organizational Leadership Department of Robert Morris University and has been a presenter at the Robert Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership.
Mike lives in Winchester, KY with his wife, Kristina, and their four children: Jackson, Raegan, Jonas, and Kennedy.
