Serving Leader support to create award-winning HC System

The Challenge

The senior leaders of this Baldridge award-winning system desired to create a Serving Leadership culture in their hospitals. They had experienced conceptual Servant Leader training, but wanted more tangible and practical implementation assistance.

The Solution

The initial request to Third River was a half day keynote on Serving Leadership.  The senior team found the first session so useful that they contracted Third River to come back quarterly to work with them in focused areas of need. The System’s CEO and other key leaders commented that while they had been exposed to the other conceptual training, the practicality of Third River’s Serving Leader approach was superior to that content.

The Outcome

This experience led the Senior Team to again partner with Third River to equip the executives as facilitators to further implement Serving Leadership into the next levels of leaders in their organization. This approach is central to their creating the leaders developing other leaders engine, which is desired by the executives. This work is current and ongoing.
