Ben Dilla, Ph.D., Managing Director
Ben Dilla is a Managing Director for Third River, focusing on providing insight and development to individuals,
teams, and organizations through assessment, feedback, coaching, and training.
His passion is learning and helping others learn more about who they are, what they are designed to do in life and career, and how to be better leaders. Ben brings thirty years of experience in business, academics, and the military to the Third River team.
Ben worked for the past eight years as a senior consultant for Personnel Decisions International, a global Human Resource consulting firm specializing in leadership development. He performed a variety of services including assessment, coaching, training, 360-degree feedback, performance management, and succession planning. His clients included BNSF Railway Company, USAA, HEB Grocery, and Wal-Mart Corporation. His most rewarding work included redesigning the performance management system for all managers of a major retail organization and developing and delivering a week-long Leadership College for an association of not-for-profit hospitals.
In his Air Force career, Ben served as an aircraft maintenance officer, human resource director, and associate professor at both the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, OH, and at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He completed his career as Associate Director of Admissions and later as Director of Operations, Quality & Institutional Research at the Air Force Academy.
Ben graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences and Leadership. He earned his Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Purdue University in Industrial & Organizational Psychology. He currently teaches in a bachelor’s degree completion program for working adults at Dallas Christian College and the MBA program for LeTourneau University.
